Gamepass Tier List

This list ranks gamepasses for beating the obby, not for PvP. Escape The Carnival of Terror Obby lets you finish on foot. Paid gear only changes how much parkour you still have to do. The live shop currently shows VIP PASS at 2000 Robux as the pass for sale: it unlocks all items and pets, and new shop items stay unlocked after you own it. Older individual passes (UFO, coils, guns, toys) show as not for sale and may be bundled into VIP. Historical Fandom listings are noted below so you can compare old screenshots; they are not current checkout prices.

If you want stage difficulty instead of shop power, start at the Tier List Hub. If you want button mapping for coils and flight, use controls. If you want the on-foot route, stay on the walkthrough. Gear scripts that mimic these tools are covered on gears with the usual account-risk warning.

Skip versus legit

A legit clear means you jump the course. Checkpoints still reset if you leave, so a legit run is one sitting. Skip tools (Teleport Gun, UFO, Jet Pack) let you ignore lava, lasers, and the clown. That is a valid way to see the ending. It is not the same as a glitchless speedrun. If you post a time, say which passes you used.

Coils and the grapple sit in the middle: they make jumps easier without deleting the map. Combat toys do not move you to the next pad. Using a minigun on the Evil Clown does not end the chase. The clown is a route hazard, not a boss with HP.

VIP is a convenience bundle. Buy it if you want every toy and you do not want to hunt off-sale passes. Do not buy it expecting a secret carnival ending. The Hatch badge and the roller-coaster finish still sit at the end of the same map.

Historical Fandom prices (not the live shop): UFO 40 Robux, Speed Coil 75, Gravity Coil 145, Jet Pack and Mini Helicopter 180, Mech Suit 220. Treat those numbers as archive text. The current storefront highlights VIP.

S-tier: skip the parkour

Teleport Gun. Click a ledge, a cabin, or a pad you can see. This is the cleanest skip. Thin Fun House beams still ask you to look before you click. It does not teach the course, so a later legit attempt will feel new.

UFO. Flight with enough lift to ignore lava and the plaza floor. Strong on the clown chase because you are not pathing around the knife. Weak only if you fly into a kill volume you did not see.

Jet Pack. Same job as the UFO with a different feel. Use it to leave the boiler without waiting on fire cycles. All three S tools make the stage list mostly academic.

A-tier: faster jumps, still a course

Gravity Coil and Speed Coil are the honest assists. Gravity clears Doom Drop gaps and Fun House lasers if your timing is close. Speed makes the plaza chase and volcano booster rooms more readable because you spend less time in a kill zone. You can still fall.

Grapple Gun is the vertical version of a coil. Latch a high beam instead of stacking jumps. It shines in the boiler pipes and the jump tower after the yellow portal.

Mini Helicopter is flight with room for two passengers. In a 10-player server that is a social skip: you can lift friends who are stuck on C-tier tracks. It is A instead of S because boarding and seating still take time, and you can clip a kill brick while lining up.

B-tier and C-tier

Lightsaber sells the extra jump more than the blade. Treat it as a weaker gravity coil. Hitting the clown does not skip the Ferris.

Mech Suit makes you huge. Some gaps become stomps. Some corridors become worse because the hitbox is a barn. Fun in the plaza, clumsy in the Fun House. B for a reason.

Skateboard is C. You roll, you trick, you still have to aim at pads. On lava rails it is a novelty. On vanishing Fun House platforms it is a way to die with style.

Fun/F: combat toys that do not clear stages

Minigun, Flame Thrower, Zombify, Player Vacuum, Shrink Ray, and Wind Dual Blade (R for whirlwind) exist to mess with the other nine people on the server. They do not tag checkpoints. Zombify slows whoever you touch; that can grief a friend’s legit run. Vacuum and shrink are the same idea. If your goal is the ending, leave these in the bag. If your goal is lobby chaos, they are the whole point.

Gears covers client-side copies of some of these tools. Using those can cost the account. This wiki ranks official passes only.

What to buy, if you buy anything

  1. Nothing. The obby is free. Average playtime is about 9.26 minutes; a careful first clear is longer. Practice the S rooms on the stage hub.
  2. VIP PASS (2000 Robux) if you want every listed toy and you do not want to track off-sale passes. It is a bundle, not a skill rank.
  3. Do not chase historical individual prices in third-party screenshots. The live shop is the source. UFO dated 2025-12-23 and VIP dated 2026-02-16 are store events, not new maps.

A skip clear still has to survive kill bricks you teleport into. Look before you click. A legit clear still has to talk to Jim, beat the chase, and ride the coaster. Pick one goal per session so you are not mixing a speed coil with a glitchless claim.

When you are ready to jump without toys, open controls for shift lock and camera, then the walkthrough for pad order. When you only want to know which rooms are actually hard, the Tier List Hub is the stage ranking this shop list is meant to sit beside — not a second copy of the same table.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common carnival questions.

Which gamepass is actually for sale right now?

The live shop shows VIP PASS at 2000 Robux. Individual coils, UFO, guns, and toys currently show as not for sale and may be bundled into VIP. Confirm on the Roblox storefront before you buy.

What is the best pass for beating the obby?

Teleport Gun, UFO, and Jet Pack skip parkour (S). Gravity Coil, Speed Coil, Grapple, and Mini Helicopter help without deleting the map (A). Combat toys do not clear stages.

Does VIP skip the clown chase?

VIP unlocks the skip tools, including flight and teleport. Those skip the chase if you use them. VIP itself is a bundle, not a unique chase mechanic. See beat the clown for the on-foot route.

Are the old Fandom prices still correct?

No. Treat UFO 40, Speed 75, Gravity 145, Jet/Heli 180, and Mech 220 as historical Fandom listings. The current checkout is VIP at 2000 Robux.

Do combat passes help me finish?

No. Minigun, flamethrower, zombify, vacuum, shrink ray, and dual blade do not tag checkpoints. They only affect other players. Use the walkthrough if your goal is the ending.

Where can I read about unofficial gear tools?

Feature notes and risk warnings sit on gears. Official skip versus legit ranking stays on this page and the stage hub.
