Carnival of Terror Obby How to Get The Hatch Badge
Join from The Hatch hub, hunt early checkpoints, and do not expect a live egg if the event window is closed.
The public badge on Escape The Carnival of Terror Obby is The Hatch Badge! (Carnival of Terror). Trackers have shown on the order of 169,000 awards and a near-zero win rate versus the place’s 1.2 billion visits. That gap is the story: most sessions never see an egg, because the egg is an event object, not a reward for finishing the coaster.
This page is the hunt guide. It is not a promise that an egg is spawning in your server tonight. The Hatch 2025 window ran 2–12 July 2025. If you join the carnival from the normal Roblox place page, you often get a regular obby instance with no egg. Creators who actually collected the badge said you must enter from The Hatch hub so the carnival loads in event mode.
Use getting started if you have never walked the gate. Use the walkthrough if you need the legal parkour line. Use updates for the rest of the timeline. This page only answers how the egg and the badge worked.
Join from the hub, not the wiki Play button
The Hatch hub place is the event lobby Roblox used in July 2025 (search The Hatch on Roblox, or use the official Hatch experience). From that lobby you pick participating games. Escape The Carnival of Terror Obby was on the participating list.
If you instead press Play on the carnival’s own page, you skip the event wrapper. Guides recorded the same failure: no egg in the world, then people assumed the badge was broken. The fix was not a code. There is still no live promo code for the badge on the codes hub. Joining through the hub was the requirement.
When the 2025 window closed on 12 July, hub teleports into egg-enabled carnival servers stopped being a live event. The badge remains on the place as a historical award. If a future Hatch or egg hunt reuses this carnival, the same rule will almost certainly return: hub first, then hunt.
Where the egg spawned
The egg did not sit at the coaster finish. It hid in early stages, with more than one spawn. Players in comments reported finds around stage 11 and stage 21. That spread matches a random or rotating spawn, not a single pixel you can memorize forever.
Practical hunt loop during the event:
- Enter from The Hatch hub so the egg is allowed to exist.
- Walk the clown-mouth gate, read Jim if you want, then clear the first lava rails.
- At every checkpoint brick, stop and pan the camera. Look off the main jump line: beside pipes, on a side platform, near balloons, at the top of a short ladder.
- If the first two rooms are empty, keep going. Do not reset just because stage 1 was dry.
- Treat saws and fire jets as usual. The egg does not pause kill bricks.
One recorded route after the gate: jump the opening boxes, drop to pipes, clear balloons, then check a right-side alcove. Another spawn sat after a ladder past spinning saws. If your instance used a later stage, you still had to parkour honestly until that brick. The checkpoint map is the name sheet for those rooms.
The egg was not a combat drop. Shooting the evil clown did not spawn it. VIP and coils could speed the hunt but were not required. Skip tools could also skip the brick the egg was sitting on, which is how people flew past it.
What the badge is not
- Not a code. Typing
HATCHin chat does nothing. See how to redeem only if PlatinumFalls ever ships a real string. - Not a coaster clear badge. Finishing the funhouse and the ride does not print The Hatch Badge by itself.
- Not a Jim quest. Talking to the balloon boy does not grant it.
- Not a live weekly objective in September 2026. The carnival’s last public maintenance stamp is still 18 August 2026; that was upkeep, not a new egg season.
If you only wanted to escape the park, ignore this page and run Beat the Clown plus the walkthrough. The Hatch was a Roblox-wide egg hunt that borrowed this obby for a few days.
If you are hunting in a later year
- Open the Roblox place and read whether a Hatch or egg badge is still listed as obtainable.
- Search Roblox for a live Hatch hub. If the hub is gone, the egg is gone.
- If a hub exists, join from that hub, then sweep early checkpoints with the camera, not a jetpack tunnel vision.
- Do not pay for a script that claims to teleport you to “the egg” on a normal server. Event objects often fail to replicate outside event mode. Keep automation talk on the scripts hub and treat it as a ban risk, not a badge strat.
The Hatch Badge is a souvenir from July 2025 for people who entered correctly and looked sideways. The carnival you play on a random week is still the same 10-player, leave-reset obby. Escape is the coaster. The egg was extra, and only when the hub said so.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common carnival questions.
How do I get The Hatch Badge in Carnival of Terror Obby?
During The Hatch 2025 window you had to join from The Hatch hub, then find a hidden egg in an early stage. Joining the carnival's own Play button often spawned no egg.
Where does the egg spawn?
Multiple early checkpoints. Players reported finds around stage 11 and stage 21. Pan off the main line at every brick. The checkpoint map names those rooms.
Is The Hatch event still live?
The 2025 hunt ran 2–12 July. The badge remains on the place as history. Check updates and the Roblox listing before you assume a new egg season.
Can a code grant the badge?
No. The codes hub has no live strings, and the badge was an event collect, not a chat reward.
Do I need to finish the coaster for the egg?
No. The egg hid early. Finishing the walkthrough is a separate escape. The Hatch object was a side hunt.
Why is there no egg in my server?
You likely joined a normal instance. Event eggs required the Hatch hub wrapper. Outside that window they simply do not spawn.
