PlatinumFalls opened Escape The Carnival of Terror Obby on 28 December 2020. The place is still a free classic obby: 10 players per server, mild jumpscares, over 25 obstacles, about 24 checkpoints, and a leave-reset on progress. The latest public maintenance stamp on the Roblox page is 18 August 2026. This hub is the timeline, not a Trello. There is no public Trello for the carnival. When the storefront or the badge list changes, it shows up here and on the official links page.

If you only wanted promo strings, skip to codes. Live list is usually zero. If you only wanted shop ranks after a pass goes on or off sale, skip to the Gamepass Tier List. The course itself has not been replaced by a sequel map; maintenance has kept the same carnival running.

28 December 2020 — launch

The listing that shipped with the place is still the pitch: locked in an abandoned carnival by an evil clown, travel the rides, escape a crazy Fun House, watch out for the clown, mild jumpscares, more than 25 obstacles. Genre is Obby & Platformer, subgenre Classic Obby. You spawn at the mouth gate, talk to Jim, and jump. That loop is the product.

Visits later crossed 1.2 billion, with about 14.9 million favorites. Those numbers are scale, not a promise of weekly patches. Average playtime sits near 9.26 minutes, which matches a short scary obby more than a live-service season.

Badge: The Hatch Badge! (Carnival of Terror)

The public badge on the place is The Hatch Badge! (Carnival of Terror). Rolimon-style trackers have shown on the order of 169k awards. It is tied to The Hatch / egg-hunt style event participation in this experience, not to a hidden Jim quest and not to a clown HP fight. Award count moves slowly compared with visit count because most sessions never finish a hunt objective.

The hunt itself is written up on the Hatch Badge guide. If a future event reuses the carnival, the badge name is the thing to search. Until a new badge appears on the Roblox page, this is the only one to list. Do not invent codes that claim to grant it. The codes hub stays empty unless PlatinumFalls publishes a real string.

23 December 2025 — UFO pass on the store history

Store history lists a UFO pass around 23 December 2025. UFO is an S-tier skip on the gamepass list: fly, ignore lava, ignore the plaza floor. Individual older passes, including UFO, currently show as not for sale and may be bundled into VIP. Historical Fandom prices (UFO 40 Robux, coils and flight in the 75–180 band) are archive text, not checkout.

A UFO date is a shop event. It is not a new carnival wing.

16 February 2026 — VIP PASS

VIP PASS is dated 16 February 2026 on store history and is the pass the live shop still sells: 2000 Robux, unlocks all items and pets, and new shop items stay unlocked after you own it. That is the convenience bundle. It does not add a VIP-only ending. Combat toys inside the bundle still do not tag checkpoints. Skip tools inside the bundle still skip parkour.

When VIP is the only pass with isForSale true, treat older Fandom price tables as history. Confirm the storefront before you spend. This wiki does not invent a sale that is not on Roblox.

18 August 2026 — maintenance

The Roblox page’s updated stamp is 18 August 2026. That is maintenance on a 2020 obby, not a reboot. Expect platform compatibility, shop flags, and small fixes more than a rewritten Fun House. If a patch ever changes checkpoint rules (today: they reset when you leave), this hub will say so. Until then, plan one sitting.

There is still no public Trello, no live code channel, and no official patch-note blog beyond the place page and PlatinumFalls’ profile. Use official links for the Roblox URL and creator profile. Fan videos of no-death clears remain the best way to see that the layout still matches 2020-era walkthroughs.

What has not changed

• Free to play, 10-player servers, online multiplayer.
• Mild jumpscares; clown chase is still a route, not a boss HP fight.
• Jim at spawn with a balloon; he still does not fight.
• Leave-reset checkpoints.
• No working promo codes on a normal week. Check codes anyway after a big Roblox event, then leave if the list is still empty.
• Skip versus legit is still a shop choice, scored on the Gamepass Tier List.

How to read a “new update” rumor

1. Open the Roblox place. Read the updated date and the passes tab.
2. Open this hub. If the date is still 18 August 2026 and VIP is still the live pass, the rumor is a thumbnail.
3. Open codes only for strings. Do not trust random comments that recycle other PlatinumFalls titles.
4. Open wiki for the canonical game URL if you landed on a copycat carnival.

Maintenance means the carnival is alive. It does not mean a new act is loading in. Play the map that is there: gate, boiler, chase, Ferris, Doom Drop, volcano, Fun House, coaster. When the storefront actually moves, the pass table on gamepasses is the page to refresh first — this hub only records the dates those shop flags showed up.
