Carnival of Terror Obby Carnival Tools
Checkpoint map, control reference, and timing links for a 24-brick run.
Use this hub when you need reference, not a story. Escape The Carnival of Terror Obby is a free classic obby: 10-player servers, more than 25 obstacles, about 24 checkpoints, mild jumpscares, no boss fight, and a full reset if you leave. The pages below are the practical kit — a stage map, a control sheet, and timing context — so you do not relearn the boiler with every crash.
Start with the checkpoint map if you just died and cannot remember whether you were in the plaza or already past Doom Drop. Open controls if jumps feel late on mobile or if shift lock is fighting the camera on thin rails. Open the speedrun guide if you are timing a clean run instead of sightseeing.
Checkpoint map
The checkpoint map is a stage-by-stage index of the carnival:
- 1–2 intro at the clown-mouth gate and lava carts, with Jim and the balloon warning.
- 3–9 boiler room: fire jets, clown hands, pipes.
- 10–11 plaza chase into the Ferris wheel.
- 12–13 Doom Drop.
- Then the portal / volcano cluster, the Fun House, and the roller coaster exit.
Because Roblox does not keep your brick when you disconnect, the map is the only “save” you can take with you. Screenshot the table before a long session. If you crash after checkpoint 13, you want the words “Doom Drop” on a note, not a vague memory of “some ride.”
Pair the map with the full walkthrough when you need jump-by-jump advice, and with how to beat the clown when 10–11 is the only cluster you restart. The funhouse page covers the warped rooms the map only labels.
Controls and camera
The controls page is the other tool you should pin. WASD or thumbstick to move, space to jump, right-click or drag to orbit. Shift lock helps on boiler beams and cart rails; it hurts when you need a wide camera for fire jets. Mobile players should rotate to landscape before the first lava gap so the jump button is not covering the next brick.
This is online multiplayer, not split-screen. You cannot hand a second player a unique camera. You can watch a friend in the same 10-player server and copy their line. If they fly with a jetpack, they may be on VIP or on an executor — compare gamepasses and the scripts hub before you assume the route is legal.
Speedrun timing
The speedrun guide translates the same 24 checkpoints into categories:
- Glitchless — intended parkour. World-class times sit near 6:52.
- Any% Glitches — body boosting and other skips, with times near 0:49.
- Any% Co-op — two players, about 1:02 on the public board.
Use a simple timer from the first jump after spawn, not from the Roblox loading screen. Stop when you leave the coaster. Do not count injected gears as Glitchless. The board is linked from official links (rbx_etcoto).
Timing is also a debugging tool. If your “casual” clear is 40 minutes, the map will show you which cluster ate the clock: boiler 3–9 is long, the clown is short but deadly, Fun House is where people wander.
How to use the three together
- Before you join, screenshot the checkpoint map and skim controls.
- During a first clear, follow the walkthrough and tick clusters mentally (intro, boiler, clown, drop, portal/volcano, funhouse, coaster).
- After a fail, do not immediately hunt codes — there are none live — and do not leave “just to check a video.” Rejoin knowing the cluster name.
- Once you can finish, run a timed attempt with the speedrun rules so you know if you are improving or just getting luckier on the chase.
Other wiki pages stay one click away: getting started for the reset rule, players for Jim and the clown, updates for the 18 August 2026 place stamp. This hub will not grow a calculator or a damage table — the carnival does not have combat stats. It has bricks, timing, and a clown.
Print nothing. Screenshot the checkpoint table, pin the controls page, and time your next run against the speedrun categories instead of guessing whether you are almost done.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common carnival questions.
Which tool should I open after a crash?
The checkpoint map. Progress resets when you leave, so you need the cluster name. Then resume from the walkthrough.
Where are the movement controls?
On the controls page. Pin it beside this hub if mobile jump buttons keep eating your camera.
How do I time a run?
Follow the speedrun guide. Glitchless, Any% Glitches, and co-op are different categories; injected gears do not count as Glitchless.
Is there a code tool or redeem calculator?
No. There are no live codes. These tools are map, controls, and timing.
Can I share the map with a friend in my server?
Yes. Servers hold 10 players, but each avatar still has to jump. Send them the checkpoint map and the walkthrough rather than carrying them.
